Anyone who received FEMA assistance or had a valid insurance claim under their homeowners or renters policy as a result of the December 10-11, 2021 tornado is eligible for an additional $1,000 from The Public Protection Cabinet - Team Kentucky
Checks have already gone out to Individuals from this fund, but many families in Taylor County have not received it.
Those who believe they were eligible to receive a payment should contact the Public Protection Cabinet (PPC or also referred to as Team Kentucky).
The PPC will determine if a check was issued and, if so, verify the address that they used. If a check has not been issued, PPC would need to contact the insurer to verify that you had a valid homeowners or renters insurance claim and, if verified, issue a payment.
Individuals should be prepared to provide:The name of their insurer;
Their policy number; and
Their claim number.
